Android phone not downloading photos in text messages
Obviously, sending my phone in without a back up is not an option. I have been having this issue for about two months now. It happens when I am on my mobile data only and wifi only. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
This is my last ditch effort before I move unhappily away from Samsung and to an iPhone. Go to Solution. View solution in context. Namaste Asteroid. All forum topics Previous Topic Next Topic. Accepted Solutions. BertnTX Constellation. This-is-me Comet.
Open samsung members app. What should you do to fix MMS messages not downloading? Follow the solutions mentioned in this post given by MiniTool Solution. MMS, short for Multimedia Messaging Service, is a feature that allows sharing multimedia files including photos, videos, and audio over a network. At present, most users have switched to other messaging applications, for example, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.
But the fact is that there are still many persons using MMS. According to Android users, the only annoying issue when using MMS is the download problem. It may be caused by a slow Internet connection, a setting issue, interfering apps, corrupt cache, etc. Fortunately, it can be solved easily.
If you also encounter the issue, follow these solutions below to get rid of it. In many situations, a simple restart can be used to fix some issues. This is the basic thing you can do. Just press the power button until you see the power menu and choose Reboot or Restart.
After your phone restarts, check if you can download MMS. Nice and clean. Remember that you can send a picture message to yourself to make sure that its working properly. If your device is still having issues messaging then a factory data reset will reset the APN settings, and fix any possible software bugs for you, and that is what I recommend as the sure fire fix for this issue.
Sorry for the delayed response Magon. I have yet to see the suggestions listed above, especially a factory data reset, not resolve this particular issue.
Usually it errors out and lets you know when that happens though. This too can affect the way your phone communicates with its wireless carrier. What phone was this happening on and what exactly was it doing? Was it happening everywhere and with everyone or only certain people? Did you have an iPhone before your Android phone? You have probably contacted your wireless service provider by now again sorry for the delayed response , but were they able to resolve your issue on their end?
Thank you Thank you for all those advices. The post was clear and easy to read. Thank you! I deleted old messages I was saving for no reason and worked fine!
